Braces aren’t just for children, and did you know that some of the most famous Hollywood stars have worn braces? Indeed. Dr. Patricia Domings, Hudson, NH’s orthodontist wants you to know that plenty of well known celebs have worn braces at some point in their lives – some as grown adults. Here then, are five of the rich and famous – in no particular order – who were not born with the spectacular smile they are known for today.
The beautiful Ms. Hill actually wore braces twice in life. She wore the braces early on as a child, but then, oops, forgot to ware her retainer! She was 45 when she decided to get clear braces with a single metal wire and proudly let them shine on the red carpet in 2012-13.
Tom’s jawline made, ahem, all The Right Moves, later in life as well. He was 39 when he wore clear braces – no, not the Full Metal bracket. 39 at the time, Cruise wore his braces for a short few months, just enough to give his splendid smile a tune up.
Perhaps one of the most well known younger Hollywood child stars to have worn braces early on in life, Ms Fanning had some major dental issues that we were all witness to thanks to her time in the spotlight. Today, Ms. Fanning’s smile is one of the most well recognized in all of Hollywood.
Though Jeremy wasn’t a child star, he did wear braces as a child, perhaps a pre-cursor to his current day status as a sexy Entourage star. He wore a train track across his teeth in his youth, endearing and cute then, but by no means did it foreshadow the success that he would eventually show off in Hollywood.
From a young school girl at Hogwarts, to a welcoming and encouraging high school outsider/ wallflower, Watson has certainly flourished and grown into quite a young woman in front of our big screen eyes. But she wore full metal braces growing up, before her lead role as Hermoine Granger, Harry Potters’ friend.
